Best for writers who have finished a draft and want a clear, high-level picture of how the novel is working as a whole. I read your full manuscript and write a detailed report covering structure, character, pacing, voice, and commercial potential. No inline comments. Think of it as a diagnostic and a roadmap for your next revision.
DEVELOPMENTAL EDITING

Best for writers who have taken the manuscript as far as they can and want deeper, more targeted feedback. I read your full novel, make inline amendments, write detailed comments in the margin linked to specific passages, and provide a summary editorial letter covering the key issues. This is a more hands-on, structural service.

Genres I work with
I am happy to work with most fiction genres. My personal writing experience covers historical fiction, saga, romance, comedy, contemporary women’s fiction, and literary fiction. I also regularly edit manuscripts in crime, thriller, domestic noir, fantasy, romantasy, and science fiction. The only genre I do not take on is ultra-violence.

How It Works
- Send me a sample of your work (usually the opening 5 pages, A4, in Word format) via the contact form.
- I will come back to you with a quote based on your manuscript length and the service you have chosen.
- Once agreed, I will read your full manuscript and prepare your report.
- We will meet by video call to discuss the feedback in detail and agree your next steps.
